Like No Other I've Seen

Machu Pichu, Peru is like no other ruin I have ever seen.  Ten years ago I had the opportunity to hike for three challenging and rewarding days into the Peruvian mountains, which led me and three of my college buddies to the famous Machu Pichu Ruins.



Filled With History

High up in mountains lays a magnificent site.  As Lamas roam freely you begin to explore the mystical castle of the Inca's.  This rugged scenery, set up in the clouds makes you realize how small we really are. To this day I still remember the vivid sites, beautiful smiles of the Peruvian people and the amazing feeling of being in a place filled with so much history.

Why is Angkor Wat a Wonder of the World?

Takes My Breath Away

I’ve traveled all over the world and some sights just take my breath away.  They aren't all World Wonders or World Heritage sites, sometimes it’s a simple sunset over a rice field in Bali.  And sometimes it is something truly magical and mysterious like Angkor Wat.  It’s amazing to me that the place is in such good shape considering how ancient it is.  

Looking at the place I can almost feel the pomp and luxury of the time it was built.  It’s said to surpass the grandeur of the Pharaohs, pyramids, and the Taj Mahal.  I think I may agree!

I Can't Wait To See It Again

Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century  and estimated construction time of the temple is 30 years.  King Suryavarman II dedicated to Vishnu.  It is an architectural masterpiece, one of the finest in the world and I can hardly wait to see it again this November.
